Celebrate the Chinese New Year

Join Debra Lin Allen and friends at Chi Wellness, 4155 East Jewell Av., Suite 104 in Denver, on Thursday, January 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the Chinese New  Year. Says Debra, “Free and open to all, bring your family and friends, we’ll cultivate the spirit of the warm New Year Chi together with Qigong Movement and Ceremonial Oolong Tea and snacks!”

The New Year is China’s most celebrated annual holiday. All work stops from January 21 through February 20 to consciously honor and celebrate life, family and health. This is their Spring Festival. In many Chinese cities, traditional performances such as dragon and lion dances and imperial performances of an emperor’s wedding are enjoyed.

On the New Moon of January 25th, the Yang Metal Element Rat leads the parade of the twelve animals in Chinese astrology. The Rat offers us a highly intelligent and nimble driving force of vitality and bountiful opportunities for new beginnings.

Our delightfully charming friend scurries dressed in opulence, gifting us with an acceptance of the past without regret or remorse and great enthusiasm and motivation for the future. To assure success and wealth in our health, relationships and objectives for 2020, January is the time to carefully define goals and to free your creative self and manifest with confidence. Trust that you’ll receive much good luck, good health and financial prosperity – especially for Oxen, Dragons, Monkeys and Pigs!
