Sweet Slumber: A Mantra To Help You Sleep

Jan 29, 2020 07:58AM ● By Doug Zerbarini

The next time a racing mind keeps you awake at night, calm yourself with loving thoughts, says Sabrina Hitt, Ph.D., a Tucson, Ariz.-based psychologist. To do that, recall a time when you felt particularly loved and appreciated, or when you felt that way toward someone else, she explains. Recapture that feeling in the present moment and recite the following mantra to yourself until you fall asleep:

May I be filled with loving kindness.
May I be well.
May I be peaceful and at ease.
May I be happy.
