Making New Choices

Making New Choices

During these changing times, many people are remembering things from their childhood where they felt hurt or shamed. Many are also realizing that some lessons they were taught as a child are no longer relevant. One of the most common is that “we’re not good enough.”

Mental health professionals can help clients sift through these unpleasant memories, discover their negative beliefs, and empower them to create a “new normal.” With so much fear and uncertainty in the world, it is more important than ever to heal from these beliefs, so that you have the freedom to make a new choice about how you want your life to look.

For example, 10-15 years ago business owners hesitated to allow their employees to work from home for various reasons. Now that we have been forced into quarantine and employees are able to maintain productivity levels, many owners are looking at working at home to increase their employees’ quality of life, reduce drivers on the road, and cut costs on office space.

By taking the time to look with an open mind and curious eyes, you will have the ability to re-evaluate the perspective you learned as a child with greater understanding and realize how much choice you have on how you live your life.

As we see our lives with better clarity, we can begin to see the world we want to live in rather than the one we felt we were born into. Professional help is available if you feel like this is an area of your life that you would like assistance working through.
